An exclusive axis within the II National Physiotherapy Conference of ICHC FMSUP

The National Physiotherapy Conference of the Central Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (ICHC FMUSP), which took place in August 2019, was an event aimed at physiotherapists from all areas, with the objective of discussing as a theme transversal Technology & Innovation: Impact on the Physiotherapist's Performance.


The program was carefully organized into six axes of physiotherapy: neurosciences and neuromodulation, cardiorespiratory and in the ICU; musculoskeletal disorders, sport and physical activity; pelvic and women's health; management and; aging. Renowned national and international speakers participated, sharing their innovative experiences.


In particular, the Neuroscience and Neuromodulation axis proposed to promote critical reflections on clinical practice based on scientific updates about the nervous system and its disorders, in addition to addressing the different therapeutic resources of non-invasive neuromodulation, as well as discussing its effects and target populations. . The themes were developed through lectures, interactive rooms and workshops, conducted by renowned and experienced professionals.

The trajectory of non-invasive neuromodulation in Brazil and in the world, regulation, the state of the art and the role of Brazil, physical, physiological principles and fundamentals of the main techniques, physiotherapy guided by electrophysiological resources, neural connectivity, construction of neural maps, applicability in sport, in aging, in pediatrics, among other areas, were highlighted themes, in addition to the practical experience of implementing these resources in SUS.
